About BestBSWPrograms
BestBSWPrograms gives prospective social work students one place to research the Bachelor of Social Work, the entry credential for the profession, and to compare CSWE-accredited programs on the data that actually matters: accreditation standing, delivery format, tuition, and where the degree leads. Every page is built on published data from accreditation bodies and federal agencies, not advertising relationships.

How we work
Every program is scored on the same five-factor model on every page: accreditation longevity, delivery flexibility, prestige, schedule flexibility, and program breadth. Four factors are drawn directly from the CSWE Directory of Accredited Programs; prestige uses each institution's 2025 Carnegie research classification. Wage and employment figures come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (May 2025) and O*NET, and licensure details come from the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). We do not invent rankings or fabricate data points. See our full methodology for the scoring model and weights.
Accreditation status, wage data, and program structure are reported the same way regardless of any partnership or advertising relationship. Sponsored placements are labeled where they appear, and they never affect rank order.
