What Does a BSW Cost in Ohio in 2026?
Sticker prices for Ohio's accredited BSW programs stretch further apart than in most states. At the bottom sits Central State University at $5,404 a year, the cheapest accredited BSW in the state and one of the lowest published rates you will find anywhere. Central State is also Ohio's only public Historically Black College or University and an 1890 land-grant institution, so the lowest price in the state comes attached to a Wilberforce campus with a distinct history and mission. At the top, Xavier University publishes a sticker price nearly nine times that figure. Between those poles, most of the state's options cluster in two clear bands.
The public band is unusually deep. Published rates at the state universities vary, running from the University of Toledo at $9,753 and Youngstown State at $9,611 up through Akron, Wright State, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Ohio University, Miami, Ohio State, and Cincinnati, all landing between roughly $9,600 and $14,400.
